A few minutes later that was not the case, as results from more states came in and gave Obama the bump he needed to win re-election. But in order to know that, the news media had to be ready, constantly communicating with correspondents and maintaining a balance between speed and accuracy. Zoe Schaver (12) and Rebecca Woodburn (12) give some insight into that process during a conversation about their work at the Courier-Journal minutes before the President reached 270.
